Waikiki Condos by Neighborhood
Waikiki is a well-known and internationally acclaimed neighborhood of Honolulu. Waikiki has a rich history, and before development, it was a beach enclave dotted with native Hawaiian fishponds and villages. The development of Waikiki in the early 19th century included draining marshland and constructing the Ala Wai Canal, which ushered in the modern era of high-rise condominiums, attractions, and resort hotels that define Waikiki’s current skyline.

West Waikiki – Ala Wai · Ala Moana
West Waikiki runs from the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor located across from the Ilikai Hotel and Prince Waikiki Resort which is just across the Ala Wai Canal from Ala Moana. The west side of Waikiki can be quieter than the hustle and bustle of Central Waikiki where many travelers congregate around the International Marketplace shopping center. Condominiums on the west side of Waikiki that are ocean facing typically have sweeping views of the emerald blue Pacific, the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor, Sand Island, and Ala Moana Center. Our offfice is located in the Discovery Bay Center where we also have furnished condos available at monthly rates.

West Waikiki Condos
For renters, the west side of Waikiki is an excellent location for quick access to the Ala Moana Center and the rest of Honolulu. Developers built many of the condos on this end of Waikiki several years after those in central Waikiki. As a result, many are slightly larger in square footage, have covered parking, and, depending on the building, may have an in-unit washer and dryer rather than a community laundry room. Most condos will have a swimming pool, a fitness room, and other amenities typical of the area.

West-Central Waikiki – Fort DeRussy · Hale Koa
West-Central Waikiki runs from the the intersection of Ala Moana Blvd and Kalia Road intersection down past Fort DeRussy Beach Park and Kahanamoku Beach by Hilton Hawaiian Village. This side of Waikiki feels a bit more open thanks to Fort DeRussy, which is the largest green space in the district, with big lawns and fewer high‑rises crowding the shoreline.

West-Central Waikiki Condos
For renters, this area is packed with resort‑style towers and apartments, so it’s a hot spot for condos that come with pools, gyms, front desks and easy access to Ala Moana and bus lines. It’s a great location for quick access to Waikiki and the rest of Honolulu. The trade‑off is that prices can trend higher and some parts of Waikiki can feel resort‑oriented and within several blocks the entire neighborhood dynamic can change…Welcome to Honolulu!

Central Waikiki – Kalākaua & Kūhiō
Central Waikiki is the classic postcard image: dense grids of high‑rises between Kalākaua Avenue, Kūhiō Avenue and the Ala Wai Canal, lined with shops, restaurants and nightlife. This is where you’ll find Royal Hawaiian Beach and many of the big-name hotels, but tucked in among them are dozens of condo buildings that mix residential units with vacation rentals.
Central Waikiki Condos
For renters, Central Waikiki offers the widest range of Waikiki condo rentals, from older, more affordable walk‑ups and mid‑century towers to modern luxury buildings. You’re never more than a few blocks from the sand or a bus stop, and daily life is extremely walkable: groceries, cafes, coworking spots and nightlife are all right outside your door. The flip side is the crowds and noise. Central Waikiki is in the middle of everything.

East Waikiki – Zoo · Kapiolani Park · Diamond Head
East Waikiki stretches from roughly the Kapahulu Avenue side of Waikiki down toward Kapiolani Park, the Honolulu Zoo and the foot of Diamond Head. Guides often describe this end as a more residential, open‑feeling section of the district, framed by parkland and several of Waikiki’s quieter beach sections like Queen’s Beach, Sans Souci and Kaimana.
East Waikiki Condos
For renters, East Waikiki is appealing if you want access to the amenities of Waikiki but prefer a softer vibe: morning jogs around the park, easier access to surf breaks near the zoo, and slightly less nightlife under your window. There’s a mix of older condos, co‑ops and a few hotels here, and Waikiki condominiums in this zone can feel more like true homes, especially in buildings oriented toward long‑term residents rather than pure vacation traffic. The trade‑off is that you’re a little farther from the big shopping corridors, but many people relocating or staying medium‑term find this end of Waikiki strikes the best balance between beach life, green space and everyday livability.

FAQs about Waikiki Furnished Condos
1. Are Waikiki furnished condos a good option for 3‑month stays?
Yes. Many of our properties in Waikiki including the Windsor and Discovery Bay have 30–90-day minimum stays in Waikiki. These units are equipped with full kitchens, Wi‑Fi, and laundry access, making them ideal for monthly relocation periods or work assignments where a hotel would be cramped and expensive. Longer term options are available in Waikiki and Honolulu depending on the time of year, budget, and desired location in town.
2. Do Waikiki furnished condos include utilities and Wi‑Fi?
Many Honolulu furnished rentals include utilities (electric, water, basic cable) and Wi‑Fi in a single monthly price, especially serviced apartments and corporate housing. On more traditional leases, utilities might be separate or capped (e.g., electricity included up to a certain amount). Many homeowner and apartment owner associations that oversee condominium developments in Honolulu will include Spectrum cable, Internet, and water as part of the monthly HOA fee; as such, these services are standard for many buildings in Waikiki.
